I have always agreed with the saying that the key to success is to love what you do. With Clos Marey-Monge located just outside my window, it’s very hard not to enjoy your work.
I am proud to say that Burgundy wine is in my blood! I have lived in, and around, Beaune since I was a child. It is my home.
Between 2009–2013, I studied my Master's Degree in Human Resources at the prestigious Kedge Business School, Marseille. After my graduation, I was employed as Human Resources Manager at Michael Page Recruitment and Weir Power & Industrial, before coming back to Burgundy in January 2016. It was my desire to work at Château de Pommard, the winery I have known all my life, that bought me home.
My role at the Château is diverse, because we have a diverse team of people employed here. From the vineyard team to administration, winemakers to wine advisors, sales staff to sommeliers. I am responsible for the safety and security of them all, as well as the development and implementation of our human resources policies, which include payroll, recruitment and training initiatives, career counseling and administrative management. It’s my role to listen to staff from each team, because if we are all happy in our work, we work together better. That positive energy between the whole team is transferred to the wine, I know it!
Working at Château de Pommard requires a lot of investment and energy, but the projects we have been working on recently are so exciting. There is an incomparable dynamic that comes from being part of a united and motivated team of people coming from many different nations. I am privileged to work at an beloved property and share in its history, its terroirs and its wines and to share together with my colleagues the successes of the present and the future. My vision for the next few years is to ensure Château de Pommard remains a passionate and purposeful home away from home for all our staff, and to make the estate the place in Burgundy where everybody would love to work. It's achievable.
