CLOS MAREY-MONGE

MICAULT

2017

TASTING

With a pale ruby color our Micault 2017 is the purest expression of low-oaked Pinot Noir. Aged in older oak barrels, giving prominence to crisp red fruit aromas, it displays notes of strawberries and raspberries alongside hints of flowers such as peonies. The palate reveals low and mellow tannins, as well as a lot of flesh. Enjoyable from now on, this Pinot Noir will age gracefully in the years to come.

“The typical Pinot Noir nose expresses smoke, leather and red cherries. On the palate, there is a wonderful volume that is quite muscular in style with refined tannins, finishing with a pleasant touch of bitterness.”

Best Sommelier of the World 2013

Explore Clos Marey-Monge

The largest monopole in Burgundy, Clos Marey‑Monge is a collection of different micro-climates and soil types. Each of our seven terroirs – Simone, Les Paules, Grands Champs, Chantrerie, 75 Rangs, Micault, and Émilie – is a different composition of limestone, iron-rich clay, alluvium and other minerals essential to Pinot Noir.
