Among the limestone-rich marly soils at the intersection of the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits, on the steep slopes of the Hill of Corton, lies Corton-Charlemagne, the perfect terroir for this elegant Chardonnay with a long finish. Designated Grand Cru in 1937, the Corton-Charlemagne vineyard covers the villages of Aloxe-Corton, Pernand-Vergelesses, and Ladoix-Serrigny.
