This Volnay Premier Cru 2017 reveals a medium ruby color. The nose shows intense aromas of blackberries, black cherries, blackcurrant, and fruits of the forest along with oak. A good concentration is present on the palate. This Pinot Noir is a structured and balanced red wine with a long finish, that will express all its complexity in a few years as tertiary flavors develop.

An elegant blend of limestone, calcareous scree, and clay-rich soils, the climat “Carelle-sous-la-Chapelle”, located mid-slope on the hill of Chaignot, creates our Volnay Premier Cru, a finely balanced and delicate Pinot Noir. Located just south of our hometown of Pommard, the village of Volnay has been renowned since the 18th century.
