Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru "Les Lavrottes" 2018

  • With its deep, purple color, our Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru “Les Lavrottes” reveals a rich and complex nose with varied, delicate aromas: notes of violet, blackberry, and currant are followed by musk, licorice and sweet spices. The tannins are supple: perfectly silky with a slight sweetness. The palate is full without lacking freshness. It finishes with a touch of violet, which brings a definitively feminine side to this sensual Pinot Noir.

  • Located just below the Bonnes Mares, this small climat extends over less than a hectare. The term Lavrotte comes from the plot’s soil, which is shallow, composed of large and fine limestone slabs called lavas. Chambolle-Musigny is considered by many to produce the most feminine wines of the Côte de Nuits.
