2019 Decanter World Wine Awards – Clos Marey-Monge Monopole 2016

Decanter selects over 270 acclaimed and knowledgeable wine professionals to taste DWWA wines.

“We pride ourselves on getting specialist judges that really understand each region. Producers can be assured that the people judging their wines appreciate local nuances, grape varieties and practices – and will therefore evaluate each wine fairly.” Andrew Jefford, Co-Chair at DWWA

Panels of regional experts blind-taste DWWA wines in carefully organiser flights by country, region, color, grape, style, vintage and price. Wines are judged on their own individual merits. That means it is entirely possible for several wines to receive a Seal of Approval or to be awarded a Bronze, Silver or Gold medal in one session. Similarly, another session may yield fewer medals.

Clos Marey-Monge 2016: Silver medal – 91 / 100 Points

“Fresh and energetic with ripe berry fruit and light chocolate tones; refreshing with structured tannins and a juicy, clean finish.”
