Meet Our Wine Advisors
Our Wine Experiences are hosted by sommeliers and Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) trained professionals.
Our Wine Advisors offer a thoughtful and authoritative approach to help you learn about the history of wine, biodynamic vineyard management, our signature winemaking techniques and how to taste wine correctly.
Groups are limited in size to eight participants in order to provide a convivial environment where you will feel comfortable asking questions, interact with other visitors and develop your wine IQ.
Burgundy's Iconic Route des Grands Crus
Château de Pommard is the next stop south from Beaune, the heart of Burgundy. We can be found along the famed Route des Grands Crus. Our Wine Experiences take place onsite and in our Wine Experience Center, a place designed to expand your mind and pleasure your senses. At a size of 20 hectares, Clos Marey-Monge, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, provides the ideal classroom to connect with the savoir faire that makes Burgundy wine the most desired in the world.

The Tasting Experience
Learn how to professionally taste wine with a Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) trained professional wine advisor. The Château de Pommard is three centuries old and was founded by Vivant Micault in Burgundy, the Château knew five families who have guided the estate throughout history, survived to the French Revolution and two World Wars.
The Climats Experience
Discover the acclaimed UNESCO-protected World Heritage Climats of Burgundy up close with our Climats Experience. Compare the multiple expressions of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, across Burgundy’s rich maze of villages and terroir, to other wine regions of the world. The Gourmet Experience
Immerse yourself in the world of food and wine pairing with our Gourmet Experience. With a selection of seven wines and foods from around the world you’ll learn the principles of successful cuvee and culinary marriages. Vendanges – A Wine Harvest Experience
Château de Pommard is delighted to offer a limited number of guests the opportunity to take part in the harvest of Clos Marey-Monge 2018. Hand-pick grapes in the vineyard, get picky at the sorting table and participate in the start of the vinification process. Working up a thirst alongside our vineyard team in an ancient Burgundy vineyard is the experience of a lifetime. Each guest is treated to a glass of Burgundy Chardonnay to start the day, along with a choice selection of locally produced canapés too.
Enjoy your experience with us while your children learn about the lifecycle of a vineyard and sip delicious fruit syrups. Tasting and guessing the different fruits flavours is the perfect way to develop their senses.
Rootstock en Automne Experience
Join us Saturday, November 17th for a taste of Rootstock. Enjoy an evening of wine, food, and music, hosted in-side Château de Pommard’s beautiful Château Micault.
Wine Experiences: Schedules and Reservations
All Wine Experiences are by reservation only.
Wine experiences are available every day from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. from April 1 to November 30.
and from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from December 1 to March 18.
Our Tasting Room also offers tastings for visitors without reservations, available at our Welcome Desk.
