A Unique Terroir

A Unique Terroir

We commissioned the ADAMA study to analyze the soil composition of Clos Marey-Monge, which revealed that the clay in Simone’s vineyard has an exceptional surface area of 736 m²/g. This ranks among the highest in Burgundy, comparable to the renowned Richebourg and Musigny Grand Cru terroirs. This unique clay composition retains water and nutrients, fostering balanced vine growth and slow ripening. The result is a wine with richly concentrated flavors.
