Clos Marey-Monge Monopole 2017: (88-90)
“Tasted from barrel, the 2017 Pommard Clos Marey Monge reveals notes of red fruit, candied peel and a lavish framing of new oak, followed by a fleshy, medium to full-bodied, open-knit palate with a juicy, easygoing profile that makes a merit out of the vintage’s challenges. It will be interesting to see if it gains in depth with further élevage.”
About William Kelley:
William Kelley developed a love of wine while studying at Oxford, where he presided over the University’s prestigious Wine Circle for three years while completing a doctorate in history.
