Inhabited since the tenth century, Saint-Aubin is a tiny commune situated in a valley to the north of Chassagne and Puligny, home to the famous Montrachet vineyard. The village holds remarkable architectural treasures including the Eglise Saint-Aubin and the Château de Gamay.
Historically overlooked as an appellation, Saint-Aubin is now gaining recognition among wine lovers as a superb example of Burgundian chardonnay.
Behind its bright yellow color, this exemplary Chardonnay reveals an intense nose marked by white flowers, citrus and dried fruit. The ample palate offers an invigorating freshness and a smooth roundness. This wine, destined for aging, is drinking well now but will truly seduce us in more than a decade.
