Behind its intense and bright ruby color, our Chantrerie 2021 hides an aromatic bouquet marked by aromas of red fruits and blackcurrant, along with a light peppery touch. On the palate, the tannins are structured and crunchy. Complex and elegant, this exceptional wine has a round and persistent finish. It will evolve gracefully over the coming decades.

The vines producing our Chantrerie cuvée are some of the oldest of our Clos Marey-Monge. They grow on soils with one of the largest internal surface areas of clay in the Côte d’Or, allowing us to produce a dark, rich and deep Pinot Noir with silky tannins and a mineral finish.

Appellation Pommard
Age of Vines 20 to 80 years

Hand-harvested biodynamic grapes. 100% whole-cluster destemmed. Weeks-long maceration, with pumping-over and punching-down. Pressing in pneumatic press. Placed in French oak barrels for aging on fine lees. No filtration.
