The Soul of Our Domain
In 2019, we produced 1,800 bottles of this intense, rich and complex Pinot Noir—our rarest cuvée, available by allocation only.
Powerful and complex, our Simone 2019 has a deep, dark ruby color with hints of violet. The nose is electric and full of energy. It distills a captivating aromatic bouquet of fresh roses, dried flowers, musk, undergrowth, and graphite. The palate is fresh and vibrant, telling us that this wine is truly alive. The tight tannic structure is remarkably silky and velvety. With a long, vibrant, and slightly saline finish, this very special cuvée will undoubtedly express the same energy for the next 30 years.
Born from vines situated at the highest point of our Clos Marey-Monge, Simone embodies the soul of our domaine. Planted in 1986 on soils with one of the greatest surface densities of clay in Burgundy, this Pinot Noir is highly delicate and intense. Our rarest cuvée is rich, complex and extremely memorable.
Hand-harvested grapes, hand-sorted on a vibrating table. 100% whole-cluster, placed into stainless steel fermentation vats by gravity flow.
