With a beautiful golden color, Ladoix Premier Cru “Les Gréchons” 2019 expresses aromas of jasmine, honeysuckle and dried fruits. The palate is powerful, complex and layered with a crisp minerality. The long finish bursts with energy that resonates and shows final hints of genever and vetiver.
Ladoix is the last vineyard in northern Côte de Beaune before entering the Côte de Nuits. “Les Gréchons” is one of the highest plots positioned on the steep slopes of the Hill of Corton, once home to ancient quarries. Sedimentary, fossil-rich soils produce an intense and mineral Chardonnay that can be enjoyed today or aged for years.
Direct whole-cluster pressing. 24/48 hours settling then racking from gross lees. Alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts and aging in the same French oak barrels. Malolactic fermentation. Aging on fine lees. Fining and light filtration before bottling.
