Concentrated and perfectly balanced, our Nuits-Saint-Georges 2018 shows a ruby color with hints of purple. Its nose is clean and intense, revealing notes typical of Kirsch: morello cherries, blackberries and blueberries. The palate is marked by notes of sweet spices. The tannins are supple and silky, as taut as the finish is long and fruity.
Divided into two parts in Côte de Nuits, between Prémeaux and Vosne-Romanée, the appellation of Nuits-Saint- Georges Pinot Noir grapes from the clay-rich “Les Chaliots” produce a full-bodied and well-balanced red wine enjoyable today, but ageable for years.
Hand-harvested grapes, hand-sorted on a vibrating table. 45% whole-cluster, placed into stainless steel fermentation vats by gravity flow. Weeks-long maceration, minimal pumping-over and punching-down. Pressing in pneumatic press. Placed in French oak barrels for aging on fine lees. Light filtration.
