Of an intense ruby color, our Savigny-Les-Beaune 2020 is a wine full of sunshine. The whole-cluster harvest gives the wine its character, with sweet spice and floral notes. The palate is powerful and the tannins integrated with perfection.
Between the hills of Corton and Beaune, Savigny-Les-Beaune is a very old wine village. Historically, the vineyard belonged to the Dukes of Burgundy and neighbouring abbeys. Its gravel-like, limestone-rich soils give birth to a fresh, mineral, and elegant Pinot Noir.
Organic certified (AB). Hand-harvested organic grapes, hand-sorted on a vibrating table. 70% whole-cluster, placed into stainless steel fermentation vats by gravity flow. Weeks-long maceration, minimal pumping-over and punching-down. Pressing in pneumatic press. Placed in French oak barrels for aging on fine lees. Light filtration before bottling.
