With its deep, purple color, our Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru "Les Lavrottes" 2019 reveals a rich and complex nose with delicate aromas of violet, blackberry and currant, followed by musk, licorice and sweet spices.The tannins are supple and perfectly silky with a slight sweetness. The palate is full without lacking freshness. This gorgeous wine finishes with a touch of violet, bringing an exotic and sensual side to this Pinot Noir.
This small climat measures less than a hectare. The term "Lavrotte" comes from the plot’s soil, which is shallow, composed of wide, fine limestone slabs called lavas. Chambolle-Musigny is considered by many to produce the most delicate wines of the Côte de Nuits.
Hand-harvested grapes. Weeks-long maceration, minimal pumping-over and punching-down. Pressing in pneumatic press. Placed in French oak barrels for aging on fine lees.
