Displaying a deep garnet color, our Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2020 is an extraordinary wine with a fascinating complexity. The nose reveals fruity notes of blackcurrant and raspberry with hints of violet and licorice. The palate is quite generous, with velvety tannins. The finish is rich and highly mineral.
Clos de Vougeot has been famous since the 12th century, when it was built by monks. Some say that you can taste a part of Burgundy's history in a glass of this wine which is rich, intense and complex, thanks to an exceptional terroir composed of limestone and marl.
Hand-harvested grapes. Weeks-long maceration, minimal pumping-over and punching-down. Pressing in pneumatic press. Placed in French oak barrels for aging on fine lees. Light filtration before bottling.
