Structured to age over time, our Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru “Morgeot” 2017 shows high-intensity aromas of ripe cherries along with notes of cinnamon, vanilla, and almonds. On the palate, oak is well integrated, while the tannins are smooth and silky. It is a beautiful and concentrated wine with a long finish, that will reach its best in a few years time.
Chassagne-Montrachet “Morgeot” benefits from clay and limestone- rich soils and a south-easterly exposure in the Côte de Beaune, resulting in a complex and full-bodied Pinot Noir with long aging potential. First planted in the 15th century, this Premier Cru - one of the 55 in the appellation - shares its renowned terroir between Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Placed in French oak barrels for aging on fine lees. Light filtration.
